The development of this site was supported by a variety of people with a keen interest in the history of La Adelita , and the goal of erecting a monument to honor her.

Among them:

• The Mexican Consul in Del Rio, Texas, Ricardo Santana Velázquez , for the initiative to bring together a great team of people to launch this project.

• Dr. José Alberto Galindo Galindo , writer, historian and researcher, author of the book Un Cielo de Metrallas , who has provided historical information about Adela Velarde Pérez -La Adelita- .

• Sculptor Leslie Luna , author of the monument project.

• The artist Adrián Falcón , who provided the photos and coordinated the work meetings.

Mexicans will always have a very special appreciation for all of those mentioned, for rescuing a very important part of Mexico's revolutionary history.
